Science Engagement Park

Kamin Science Center has embarked on the most transformative era in its 35 years on the North Shore. One of the cornerstones of this transformation is the creation of an inviting new environment out of the 8.5 acres of asphalt parking lots that currently make up over 70% of the campus.

Lot upgrades will improve the space’s safety, functionality, and visual appeal, strengthening the Science Center’s role in creating and sustaining welcoming spaces that foster connection, education, recreation, tourism, and share community.

Science Park, both futuristic and nature focused, will offer:

  • Free outdoor experiences such as interactive science exhibits
  • Landscape art and public art installations
  • A water feature, bicycle parking, and space for community events

It will be a welcome amenity for both museum and event visitors, who will traverse the neighborhood with updated, safer crossings, creating a key connection for pedestrians between Manchester and the North Shore.
