Each year a panel of judges selects images that best illustrate the
world of nature for exhibit in Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Seen
here is the first prize winner from the 1996 competition. Below are two
second prize winners. See winning photographs and other select entries from the 1997 competition on view in the museum
January 17-March 29. Amateur and professional photographers are invited
to enter the 1998 Natural World Photographic Competition. Entry period
