Fall 2007
Our unprecedented, $150 million campaign is almost complete!
And soon, we’ll be inviting all of our members to join us in Building the Future of Carnegie Museums through a pledge to the campaign. In late September, Carnegie Museums members will be among the first invited to participate in our Adopt-A-Bone program, through which we all can own a piece of history, literally—a Camptasaurus toe, a Stegasaurus vertebrae—and, in doing so, help support Carnegie’s dinosaurs in their November 2007 and Spring 2008 return to their spectacular new home in Dinosaurs in Their Time. (Look for details in future emails, or call the Membership Hotline at 412.622.3314 to inquire.) We’ll also be inviting you to consider making an extra gift to the Building the Future campaign in an upcoming member mailing. As you know, we launched the public phase of our Building the Future campaign for Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh last November, and since then we’ve made tremendous progress thanks to the generosity of so many enthusiastic donors. We’re happy to say that this is not a campaign about goals we hope to realize sometime far off in the distance. Our goals are here and now…and in the very near future. But in reaching those goals now, we’ll be ensuring that Carnegie Museums’ treasures will be inspiring, educating, and connecting children and adults from around the world for many years to come. Below are campaign projects that are still short of their final mark. But we know that with your help, the future of Carnegie Museums really is right around the corner.David M. Hillenbrand President
Carnegie Museums gratefully acknowledges our Building the Future Campaign donors who have already supported the campaign with gifts of $25,000 and above as of July 31, 2007.
